Hey Everybody, hard to believe that 2014 is winding down and we're getting ready to start a New Year...2015, the countdown is on!!
I'm coming to you live from Lewisburg, PA where we are getting ready for a match-up vs Bucknell in our Patriot League Conference opening game at 2:30pm!
Don't have a lot of time, just wanted to make sure to say Happy Holidays and a very Happy New Year to all our supporters, friends and family out there and thank you for a phenomenal 2014 that we will never forget.
They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so rather than do a long written recap of all the amazing moments of 2014, I've included some pictures above that tell the story better than I ever could.
We finished our Non-Conference slate last week and ended up 7-5 with some very good wins. LaSalle of the A10 in overtime was probably the most memorable and our buzzer-beating win vs Mount St Mary's was a huge one as well. These experiences have prepared us well for Patriot League play starting today and 10 of our 12 games on the road against some very good teams have definitely tested us mentally and physically. We are excited and ready for the grind of Conference play!
Our team, my family, and I have all been tremendously blessed in 2014 and it is a year I will never forget! Now it's time to create new memories and make 2015 a year that will be even more amazing! Thanks for everything and many blessings, happiness, and health to you and yours for 2015....Happy New Year & GO EAGLES!!

What's up everybody! Been behind on keeping up with the Blog lately because we've had an extremely hectic start to the 2014-15 season. Of our first 9 games, 8 have been on the road, so it's been a crazy time for all of us being in & out of airports and hotels. Our guys have had a great approach to these last few weeks though and haven't complained once about our schedule.
This is exam week for us at AU, so we've got some time to get our guys healthy and rested physically while they take care of their business with final exams and papers.
So far this season we are 5-4 with wins vs St Francis (PA), Presbyterian, Morehead State, Hampton, & Brown and came up short vs Temple, Louisiana Tech, Columbia, & Illinois (links to game recaps). Pretty good overall considering our travel schedule, injuries we've dealt with, and the strength of our opponents. The Temple game which we lost 40-37 with a shot at the buzzer to tie it, and the Columbia game which we shot only 36% because of a bunch of uncharacteristic missed shots stand out as the 2 games we probably could have won which would make us 7-2 instead. By & large though, our team has been working extremely hard and we are getting better everyday and building towards being at our best for Patriot League play.
Last month we were also able to announce the excellent news we had on the recruiting front as our 2015 early signees were announced! Delante Jones (Lynchburg, VA - Virginia Episcopal/Team Takeover), James Washington (Norwalk, CA - Frederick Price School/Team Fast), and Lonnie Rivera (Nanuet, NY - Don Bosco Prep/BC Eagles) are all guys we're extremely excited about and are special players and phenomenal young men! These three guys will be tremendous additions to our program in 2015-16 and will keep us in the mix for Patriot League Championships for years to come!
Coming up in the next couple of weeks I've got my son Isaac's 5th birthday this week, and next week we get back to games with a trip to LaSalle from the A10 led by former Maine coach Dr John Giannini on the 16th, and our 2nd home game of the year vs The Mount on the 20th. Check us out if you're in Philly or DC on those days...GO EAGLES!!
