Sept 4, 2013

What's up everybody....hard to believe but September is here already and summer is officially done. Summer was hectic for my family and I with our move from Maine to DC, July recruiting, and getting settled in here, but it was excellent.

August was an opportunity to unpack all the boxes, get some pictures up, and get more of a feel for our new city, and American University. Everyone here has been very welcoming, and this is a phenomenal area to live. Got a chance to check out a Redskins game, Nationals game, the National Mall, Williamsburg, Virginia Beach, and many of the things that make Washington, DC amazing.

Now it's officially back to school time, and our guys are working hard getting ready for the season. The coaching staff is working with our players on individuals, and our strength coach is working with them in the weight-room and conditioning. We have a group of phenomenal young men that want to get better, are working hard, and doing what they need to do to learn our system and prepare for what will hopefully be a special season. Campus is definitely a different world with the students back, and there's a great energy here at AU.

Our first full practice will be on September 27th, and our first game is at George Mason just down the road in Fairfax, VA on November 8th. The countdown until the start of the season is on, and this is definitely an exciting time of the year!
