On the road here in Binghamton ready to take on the Bearcats at 7pm. This won't be a long entry, just mostly wanted to post the highlights (below) from our big win Wednesday over Hartford 66-64 on a tip-in by Justin Edwards with 0.7 seconds left.
This was a huge win for us since we've dropped a couple of these close last seconds games this year, so feels great to be on the other side of it. Hartford has been playing well and just knocked off America East leader Stony Brook on Sunday, so was a great win and confidence builder for us.
One of the games we dropped last second was to Binghamton on our home floor and none of us have forgotten it. We definitely owe them one, and today is payback day!
With two solid wins in a row, it's time to keep building off those wins and build momentum down the stretch...the next step is today, GO BLACK BEARS!

Been a while since my last entry, just been completely swamped with the season. Since my last post, we've played 5 games and it's been a tough stretch. I don't want it to seem like I only post when we win, but it's definitely a heck of a lot more fun when we're getting W's, there's no doubt about that.
Since we're talking about winning, just got a much needed quality W at home on Saturday over a senior led Albany team that's been playing well and is on pace for a 20 win season. It was one of the best defensive team efforts we've had in holding Albany to 35.1% from the field en route to a 66-52 win!
Don't want to make it seem like it's all roses (although I'm all about keeping things positive)...it's been an up & down season, and we are not bringing the intensity and mental focus on both ends that we need to in order to accomplish our goals. This is a talented group though, that without question has the ability to make a run down the stretch and into March.
On a personal note, our family had a major landmark event this weekend. My son Isaac just got upgraded to a full size twin bed from his 2-in-1 convertible crib/daybed. After turning 3 in December, he's now 40.2 inches tall and in the 100th percentile for his age. What does that mean? It means if he were standing next to 100 kids his age, he'd be the tallest...LOL! Can you say grocery bills!
Making the final preparations now for our game tomorrow night vs Hartford in the Alfond at 7:30pm. We've definitely got a history with them and it's a huge game for us with only 1 home game left. Hopefully we'll get another great crowd and get our next big conference win...GO BLACK BEARS!
